Caley Jack Steward

Web Developer and Technology Strategist

Caley Jack Steward is a self-taught web developer with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Since graduating in 2004, he co-founded Robojack Studios and began a career working with a diverse range of clients to create everything from web and print design, advertising, animation, illustration, photography, and more. In May of 2007, Caley joined Spider and Company to collaborate on a variety of projects.

Interactive Services Manager

Christine Hoper Hovde joins Spider and Company as an interactive services manager. She brings to the team 15 years combined experience in marketing, communications, professional education, graphic design, technical support and more.

Her business background spans work in non-profit and small to mid-market business organizations, plus seven years with Great Plains Software and Microsoft, where her focus included technical support, classroom training, curriculum development, event content management and web production.

With an educational background in communications, public relations, English and psychology, the connection that brings it all together for Christine is her talent for listening and analyzing the ever changing needs and environments of team members, Partners and customers…then streamlining existing systems and processes to create efficient solutions that work and grow with their business.

Chuck Aksamit

Web Developer

Chuck Aksamit has joined Spider and Company as Web Developer. Chuck, a native of Rothsay, Minnesota, was trained in computer science and programming, but has focused on the web side of graphic communications. Chuck has an extensive background in developing and designing for the web and other mediums, and over the past 9 years has worked on projects involving interface, graphic, usability, or interaction design.

Art Director

Dave is an award winning designer and illustrator with a 30-year track record of innovation and creativity. He has developed the “look and feel” on hundreds of ad campaigns for industries as diverse as Tourism, Dairy, Financial, Manufacturing and Technology.

Dave is definitely a veteran of attention-getting advertising and big picture concepts.

David Berg

David Berg

Director of Business and Campaign Design

David Berg has joined Spider and Company as Director of Business and Campaign Design. David is a 1996 graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), and over the past 11 years has led marketing teams in manufacturing, construction, communications, and in traditional ad agency settings.

Jasmine Mcnellis

Customer Care and Events Coordinator

Jasmine McNellis has more than nine years of hospitality industry experience, including hotel management, customer service, reservation sales, and corporate account management, most recently at the Ramada Plaza & Suites in Fargo. Jasmine earned her degree in hospitality and tourism management, with a concentration in business administration, from North Dakota State University in Fargo. With a keen focus on customer satisfaction, Jasmine’s attention to detail as well as her organizational and planning abilities make her a great addition to the team.

Jason Bedard

Videographer and Editor

Jason Bedard has joined Spider and Company in Video Services. Jason is a 2004 graduate of Minnesota Statue University Moorhead (MSUM) with a BA in Speech Communication with an emphasis in film studies. He has worked on local, state, and national television commercials, industrial video, testimonials, and the “Rumble in the Yard” series, and has shot an award-winning short film on 16mm. Jason has also been a guest instructor for the 16mm Film Production class at MSUM.

Jenny Davis

Events and Program Manager

Jenny Davis leads Spider and Company Event Management service, focusing on managing events on behalf of clients and Spider and Company itself.

Jenny’s event management experiences include everything from executive retreats to full-scale conferences ranging in size from 40 to 8,000 people. She loves everything that has to do with events - from the initial spark of the event concept, to the nervous energy of the first session, to the delivery of a great show.

In addition to her event management role, Jenny enjoys creating programs and services offerings which clients can utilize in their organizations. Prior to joining Spider and Company in August 2004, Jenny was an Event Manager for Microsoft Dynamics, then Microsoft Business Solutions, and held logistical management roles for events including Convergence, Stampede, WPC, BBC, Tech Conference, TechEd, 100% Club, and Inner Circle.

Judy Shulstad

Judy Shulstad

Accounting

Since 1988 Judy has been working the books as a logistics coordinator and accountant. Along with this experience, she brings a degree in Marketing and General Business to Spider and Company.

She also has a variety of direct sales experience. In between fishing trips, Judy manages to balance the books and keep everyone in line financially. Spider and Company would be lost without the fiscal guidance she provides.

Lanelle Vasichek

Event Coordinator

Lanelle Vasichek brings 12 years of combined experience in event planning, marketing, and client relations to Spider and Company. Her background spans work in non-profit and small business organizations, most recently at the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead, where her focus included program development, event management, and member relations. With an educational background in communications and business, a zest for detail, and an enthusiasm to make things happen, Lanelle helps ensure the success of any project or event she’s involved in, making her a valuable member of the team.

Naomi Wawers

Account/Project Manager

From passion stems excellence, and that’s what makes Naomi Wawers so vital to Spider and Company.

With 6 years of experience in project management, project coordination and event coordination she is consistent at delivering above and beyond project objectives. A variety of project undertakings have been well worth the effort as she calls upon the skills gained through every experience in her role as a project manager.

Working with marketing strategies from the ground up, Naomi has managed projects through concept development, budget management and to that final leap of production and implementation. Her enthusiasm for her work comes from a satisfaction of using her creativity and organizational strengths, coupled with a work ethic that reflects a commitment to Partners and fellow team members.

Sheila Baumgartner

Project Manager

Sheila Baumgartner joins Spider and Company as a marketing project manager.

Her eye for detail and her ability to maintain organization and consistency throughout simple to complex projects have been tremendous assets in her experiences of coordinating, managing, and executing marketing plans. In her seven years at Great Plains/Microsoft, she worked in brand education and compliance, and also helped businesses promote service offerings to clients worldwide.

Her skills in project management, branding, and marketing make her an excellent addition to our team as she’ll help businesses and organizations discover their potential through various marketing efforts. With her knowledge and understanding of business marketing, you can be assured that Sheila's strengths and experiences will propel the creation and implementation of your marketing strategies.

Spider is an advertising and marketing creative director, graphic designer, video producer, director, writer and more. Spider says the reason for this diverse skillset is borne out of necessity. “When you choose a small community to live in, then you learn to be good at many things to survive. Plus it makes it all more interesting.”

Events/Marketing Intern

With a passion for Communications, Valerie has joined the Spider and Company team as an intern from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

She is a junior majoring in Public Relations and Spanish, and learning as much as she can from this experience. She hopes to gain a better understanding of what area in Communications interests her most. In the office, she spends time preparing for events, sitting in on meetings, and try her hand at writing through various projects and the office newsletter.

Working for Spider and Company has been enlightening for Valerie, as she gets to learn about events and marketing through hands on experience.
